Whelping Services

At Gold Coast Cavoodles, we proudly offer professional whelping services for Oodle breeders in our state-of-the-art, fully air-conditioned whelping room.

With over 8+ years of hands-on whelping experience, we have safely and successfully whelped our own Cavoodles ranging from singletons through to litters of 10 puppies, all delivered naturally. From toy to mini sizes, your female and her puppies are in highly experienced, capable, and caring hands.

We Do the Hard Work for You

Whelping is intense, emotional, and physically demanding. We take that pressure off you by providing around-the-clock care, ensuring both mum and puppies receive constant supervision, comfort, and expert handling.

Your female and her puppies will receive:

Safe, calm, and loving care in a dedicated whelping environment
Continuous monitoring before, during, and after labour
A fully equipped whelping room designed for safe deliveries
Daily puppy weight checks with records kept to track progress
Close monitoring of temperature, feeding, and latching

24/7 Care During the Critical Period

We provide around-the-clock care from the time your female arrives, through labour, and during the crucial first days post-whelping.

The first few days are vital. We ensure:

Every puppy is latching correctly
Puppies are kept warm in heated whelping boxes
Mum is receiving optimal nutrition to support milk production
Any concerns are identified and addressed immediately

Arrival & Veterinary Requirements

Females must arrive 5 days prior to their expected due date (calculated at 63 days).

An X-ray is required 5–7 days before the due date to confirm puppy count.
Females must be up to date with vaccinations.

What to Bring

Your dog’s regular food
Goat’s milk (available from Woolworths)

Important Disclaimer

All owners using our whelping service must have:

An emergency veterinarian arranged prior to drop-off
A clear plan in place for emergency care, including possible caesarean
A credit card on file with their chosen veterinarian

All veterinary costs remain the responsibility of the owner.

In the event of an emergency:

I will contact your preferred phone number before transporting your female
If unreachable, I will proceed immediately to the veterinarian
I will never risk the health of the female or puppies and will act swiftly to ensure their safety
